Kathy & Ryan Say I Do in Brooklyn, NY

Kathy and Ryan tied the knot at the Iconic Dumbo Loft in Brooklyn. Built in 1891, the renovated building features high ceilings, beautiful wood columns, hardwood flooring, and exposed brick walls. It’s a dream for couples who love a rustic industrial vibe with city views! The loft’s large windows give guests a view of the district of DUMBO that boasts cobblestone streets and expansive Manhattan Bridge archways. Brooklyn Bridge park is the perfect place for outdoor ceremonies and photo ops and it’s just steps away! We hope you enjoy this real wedding, Brooklyn Style.

Deva & Keith Say I Do in Reading, PA

We love all the sweet details from Deva and Keith’s Reading Pennsylvania wedding! There is rustic charm, beautiful blooms and decorative displays at every turn. You can tell this couple put a lot of time and effort into filling their wedding with personal touches! The rustic doors, hanging window frames and vintage crates fit perfectly at the Reading Artworks event space! We love how the jewel toned gowns and antique hydrangea bouquets add a soft touch to the raw industrial space. The bride looked stunning in her lace gown and with a vintage vibe.     Photographer: Wilbert M.Venue: Reading Artworks

Tips for Planning a City Wedding

Are you dreaming of a swanky wedding with skyscrapers and cityscape views as your backdrop? Do you love the hustle and bustle of a big city and all it has to offer? Lots of couples love the idea of tying the knot in the big city, but for guests, it can cause major anxiety. Here are our tips for planning a city wedding.

1. When choosing a date, avoid big events that may be going on at the same time. A race, concert or professional sporting event can cause unusually high traffic and limited availability for parking and accommodations. Depending on the time of year, you may also want to avoid tourist destinations that will be congested and add stress to your day.

2. Create a wedding website that is chock full of important information for your guests, like maps, parking garages, nearby hotels, things to do and amenities. This will give your guests peace of mind and save them from spending endless hours doing research.

3. Choose a location for your ceremony and reception that are in the same place, near the hotel or a walkable distance. If this is not an option, providing transportation so your guests don’t have to deal with parking and navigating busy city streets is a must.

4. Treat your guests to a sight seeing tour the day before the wedding! This is a great activity and allows your guests to get a view of the sights and the lay of the land. City weddings are costly for your guests when it comes to travel and hotels, so this gesture will be greatly appreciated.

5. Traveling in the city is not like traveling in a small town or suburban area. It’s not uncommon for it to take 30 minutes to go 5 miles. Leave tons of extra time to get from point A to B for both your bridal party and your guests. If you are feeling overwhelmed, hiring a day of coordinator who lives and works in the city and knows all the ins and outs is a good idea.
