Victoria & CJ Say I Do in Tabernash, CO

This winter wedding has us wow’d because snow on your wedding day is a good thing! Victoria and CJ wed in true Colorado style at the Devils Thumb Ranch surrounded by 6000 acres of wilderness. The ranch boasts an untamed western landscape and experiences while offering luxurious amenities and modern comforts. It’s a gorgeous place to say I do for couples who love fresh air, clear skies and endless views.  Blankets of snow covered the ground for Victoria and CJ’s big day and it was simply breathtaking and the newlyweds enjoyed every second of it!

This Nevada wedding is steeped in glamour and Vegas style. All that glitters is gold and the bridesmaids look fab in their shimmering art deco gowns. The bride Gina looks like she walked right off of the red carpet and down the aisle! We are in love with her decadent jewelry! Bridal Prep Planning 101

With so many details to plan for your big day, little thought goes into planning your bridal prep. What most brides don’t realize is that they will spend the first half of the day in a room getting ready and taking lots of pictures. Having a relaxed atmosphere in a room that is large enough for all of your bridesmaids and family members to get ready in is a must. Choosing a venue or hotel with lots of room to spread out and amenities is something you should definitely take into consideration. Here are our tips for planning the perfect bridal prep!

Getting Ready - Don’t forget to wear something that comes on and off without messing up your hair and makeup! Matching robes for you and your bridesmaids is a great idea.

The Bubbly - While champagne is the go to, it’s known to go right to your head which may not be the best idea right before walking down the aisle. Opt instead for a light and fruity sangria or mimosas.

Don’t Forget To Eat - Petite bite size pastries are perfect for popping in your mouth without messing up your made up face. Be sure to pack a snack sac for later if you are planning on having an extensive photo session before your walk down the aisle. Being dizzy or nauseous is the last thing you want to feel at the alter.

Sweet Details - Ask your florist for loose blooms or an additional arrangement so your photographer can get creative. Be sure to have your wedding jewelry, shoes and invitations easily accessible as photographers typically shoot these items during bridal prep.

Bridal Portraits - Your first bridal portraits will most likely be taken during bridal prep. Having a light filled space with a neutral background is ideal. Be sure to clear any clutter out the space you will be standing in your room for pictures.
